KATHMANDU, JULY 6
Kantipur City College (KCC), affiliated with Purbanchal University, launched the 10th edition of its Management Scholars Magazine during a special program held at the college premises in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The magazine, prepared by BBA students, was jointly unveiled by Chief Guest and former FNCCI President Bhawani Rana, Prof. Rama Krishna Regmi, Prof. Dr. Mahendra Singh, Indra Kumar Shrestha (General Secretary of the Management Association of Nepal), Dr. Pralhad Karki (Managing Director of KCC), and Principal Raju Kattel.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Rana highlighted the magazine's potential in nurturing future leaders. "This kind of student-driven initiative plays a crucial role in developing leadership and communication skills," she said.
Prof. Dr. Singh praised the publication for promoting student creativity and enhancing academic knowledge, while General Secretary Shrestha and Managing Director Dr. Karki lauded its role in fostering new skills and practical exposure among students.
Prof. Regmi emphasized the magazine's impact on bridging the gap between academic learning and real-life application. However, he also cautioned students against overreliance on Artificial Intelligence (AI), advising them to prioritize independent thinking and creativity. "Use AI as a tool, not as a crutch," he remarked.
Themed "Tourism and AI", this year's edition features articles on AI's role in education, emerging business ideas, and job readiness. Guests commended the students' effort and encouraged the continuation of such initiatives to strengthen leadership, teamwork, and soft skills.
In his closing remarks, Principal Raju Kattel reiterated the college's commitment to fostering student potential. "We are continuously working to enhance students' soft skills and encourage the continuation of this publication," he said.
Kantipur City College has been running the BBA program since 2005 and is recognized as a pioneer in BBA education in Nepal. The event was attended by students, faculty members, lecturers, and journalists.
