KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 600,000 was gutted in a fire in Kapan of Kathmandu on Thursday.

An Armed Police Force team along with Nepal Police personnel, a fire brigade and locals have doused the fire that a cosmetic shop had caught in Budanilakantha Municipality-14 today.

Police said an electric short circuit in a power invertor had sparked the fire at the cosmetic shop of Ganesh Dulal.
