KATHMANDU: Police arrested a former armyman in possession of a gun and bullets from Balaju area of Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

The suspect has been identified as Rana Bahadur Dhakal of Gorkha. It has been learned that he is a retired hawaldar of Nepal Army.

According to police, Dhakal was riding on a motorcycle when a team of police from intercepted him at Nayapul of Balaju and discovered that he carried a gun and five bullets.
