KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 20

On Saturday, Kathmandu stood ninth on the World's most polluted cities' index, according to a European body that measures the air quality across the globe.

IQAir, which is a real-time air quality information platform, measured Pakistan's Lahore as the most polluted city in the world followed by South Korean city of Incheon.

Meanwhile, the Indian capital New Delhi was rated third.

IQAir is a Swiss air quality technology company that specialises in protection against airborne pollutants runs air quality monitoring and develops air cleaning products.

The PM-2.5 level in Kathmandu reached 176 per hour this morning, according to IQAir, which is in excess to healthy standard (151).
