KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has fined chiefs of Land Revenue Offices in Kathmandu, on the charge of non-cooperation with the court.

Tek Narayan Kunwar, judge, KDC, fined the chiefs Rs 500 each for withholding documents demanded by the court.

Amrit Kumar Karmacharya, chief, LRO Chabahil, Prem Bahadur Khapung, chief, LRO Dillibazar and Raghunath Adhikari, chief, LRO Kalanki, have been censured by the court.

Meanwhile, the KDC held two convicts -- Bhimindra Guyal and Yadu Gautam -- since they failed to pay Rs 11 million and Rs 7 million respectively as fine. While, Madhusudan Bhandari was released after paying the court Rs 1 million as fine.
