Kathmandu Metropolitan City on campaign to construct parks
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya has said the construction of parks had started on a campaign footing to enhance the greenery in the metropolis.
Speaking in a programme organised by Buddha Bihar at KMC Ward No 5 here today, he asserted that the KMC was continuously engaged in public construction works as well.
"KMC is relentlessly working to identify the public land and constructing parks in these spaces in the metropolis' all 32 Wards," mayor Shakya said, adding that the construction works would be completed in all the Wards within the coming three years.
KMC Ward 5 chair Ramesh Dangol and other local leaders of Nepal Communist Party underscored protecting the public property in the metropolis.
