Kathmandu Valley witnessed coldest day so far for this winter as temperature dipped as low as 2.6 degree Celsius on Saturday.
The minimum temperature of Valley was recorded at 3.4 degree Celsius on Friday.
Meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Pratibha Manandhar shared that valley's temperature is decreasing day by day and it will continue to fluctuate in the next few days.
Manandhar added temperature rises during day time if the sky remains cloudy at night and it decreases if the sky remains clear during day time.
Similarly, western Terai districts have been experiencing chilling cold. People's daily life is becoming tougher due to fog and mist in most of the districts in Tarai.
Doctors have suggested the people to adopt measures to keep themselves warm as the cold has mostly affected elderly people and children.
As per the latest details of Meteorological Forecasting Division, today's minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley is recorded 2.6 degree Celsius and maximum temperature 19.0 degree Celsius.
Jumla saw the lowest minimum temperature with minus five degree Celsius while Bhairahawa witnessed the highest with 28.1 degree Celsius today.
