Kids to be kept off Children’s Day rallies

Kathmandu, September 8:

A meeting held today under the coordination of Punya Prasad Neupane, secretary of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, decided not to include children in rallies during the National Children’s Day celebrations on September 14.

The meeting held at National Women’s Commission also decided to organise an interaction of children with the President at Bhrikuti Mandap on the day. Similarly, thirteen-year-old Kamal Nepali, who was involved in rescuing a two-year old Aradhana Pradhan from a gorge in Pokhara on June 25, would be felicitated on the occasion.

Neupane said that the parties involved in calling educational strikes would be appealed to stop such acts to let students gain education in a terror-free environment.
