Kathmandu, September 22:

Senior leader of the NC Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, in two separate letters written to PM GP Koirala and NC (D) president Sher Bahadur Deuba, urged the two to “get serious” on unification.

NC leader Sarat Singh Bhandari confirmed the report but said he did not know the contents of the letters. Sources, however, said the letters could be about the party unification. “Kishunji simply smiled when we asked about the content,” Bhandari said. A meeting of the task force to expedite the unification of the NC and NC (D) ended inconclusively today, NC (D) leader Dr Prakash Saran Mahat said.
