KMC dy mayor, 18 members return to office

Kathmandu, June 12:
Deputy Mayor of KMC Rajaram Shrestha and 18 ward members, who had resigned from their posts a few weeks ago, decided to take their offices from today. A press statement signed by them said: "The situation has changed now, as a major political party of the joint street movement has said that the stir has no meaning." They had resigned from their posts after Surya Bahadur Thapa quit the top executive job following a series of street protests.
The ward members who returned to the office today included: Yogendra Kumar Shrestha, Sharad Binor Aryal, Dev Kumar Lama, Sher Bahadur Mishra, Subarna Baidhya, Keshav Dhwoj Rana, Mani Kunwar, Mahesh Man Shrestha, Badri Narayan Manandhar, Gyaniraja Bajracharya, Jayaram Malla, Shiddhananda Bajracharya, Arjun Pande, Indra Khadgi, Haribol Nakarmi, Govinda Lamichhane, Nawaraj Bishata and Ramesh Man Dangol. They have begged "pardon for the inconvenience caused by their absence."
