KATHMANDU:

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has recently formed a committee with a view

to conserving government-owned plots of land scattered throughout the metropolis. “We have already sent letters to all the ward offices asking them to furnish details of the public lands within their areas within a week,” Gyanendra Karki, the chairman of the committee, said, adding that a few wards have already sent details. The committee has been given 45 days to submit its report.
