KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested a sub-engineer at the Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 red-handed while taking Rs 300,000 as bribe from a service seeker in Kathmandu, on Sunday.

The suspect, Dinesh Shrestha, was nabbed by a team deputed from the anti-graft constitutional body from a Maharajgunj-based restaurant.

Shrestha had promised to issue a certificate of completion of house construction in exchange of the kickback, according to the CIAA Spokesperson Ganeshraj Karki.
