KP Sharma Oli seeks change to save Nepal
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman, KP Sharma Oli, on Wednesday stressed the need to become change-oriented rather than being publicity-driven for saving the country.
Inaugurating the 12th General Assembly of Child Nepal, a non-government organisation working on child rights, former PM Oli said people from all walks of life should join hands to build the nation.
He urged all to work for change rather than being publicity-oriented.
He called for institutional and individual contribution rather than reliance on the government's sole contribution for protecting children's rights.
On the occasion, Oli conferred the National Child Rights Award on Agatha Thapa, a campaigner for children's primary development.
CPN-UML lawmaker Rameshwor Phunyal on the occasion emphasised implementing the children's rights as they were enshrined in the Constitution as fundamental rights.
At the programme, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) acting Chairman, Prakash Wosti, launched the campaign 'Love is Our Right' introduced by Child Nepal.
