KATHMANDU: Police arrested a person accused of paedophilia from Lalitpur district on Thursday.

Police arrested Yogesh Shrestha (28) of Bagalamukhi, Lalitpur on charge of having anal and oral sex with a 12-year-old boy of Charikot in Dolakha district, currently staying at Bagalamuki.

According to police, Shrestha had abused the child, who had been earning his living by begging, inside the Bagalamukhi Temple last night.

The Metropolitan Police Sector of Mangalbazar, Lalitpur has begun investigation into the case  after arresting the accused.

Meanwhile, police have kept the victim also in their custody.
