Lawmaker Basnet starts monitoring development projects
BHAKTAPUR: Member of the House of Representatives, Mahesh Basnet, has started monitoring development activities in Bhaktapur district.
The former Industry Minister said that he had taken this initiative for expediting development works in the district by evaluating effectiveness of works carried out through the budget that was allocated to the district in fiscal 2017/18, for the construction of various physical infrastructures like roads, drinking water, sewerage and schools.
According to lawmaker Basnet, monitoring has begun to check the status of works carried out under various projects undertaken with the budget allocated by the Division Roads Office, Bhaktapur, Urban Development Project, Bhaktapur, Water Supply and Sanitation Office, Bhaktapur, and projects undertaken with the budget sanctioned by the central government.
The monitoring will be done by a team comprising the Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta, Urban Development Project Chief Nawaraj Pyakurel, Division Roads Office Bhaktapur Chief Guru Prasad Adhikari, Bhaktapur Police Range Chief Himalaya Kumar Shrestha, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bhaktapur district President Bachan Deuja, and chiefs of other related offices.
Lawmaker Basnet would be leading the monitoring team formed at his own initiation.
