KATHMANDU, JULY 23

A Nepali Sherpa among with his client successfully scaled Lenin peak making the season's first summit of the 7,134-metre mountain in Kyrgyzstan.

Pemba Jangbu Sherpa, owner of I Am Trekking and Expedition Pvt Ltd, said that he made it to the top of Lenin peak guiding woman climber Vlada Wickens UK at around 1:30pm local time on 21st July.

"We have now arrived the base camp safely," he said.

According to him, at least 22 Nepali Sherpa climbers reached Lenin peak to guide their clients this season.

Meanwhile, an Iranian climber died while ascending Lenin Peak this morning. According to Sherpa, Abdossalam Feyzollahi from Iran died as he fell down from 6600m at around 6:00am.
