Life term for murderers

KATHMANDU: Deciding a 10-month-old murder case, the Lalitpur District Court recently slapped life term on those accused of killing a Class XII student, Samir Manandhar, last year.

A single bench of Judge Prakash Chandra Gajurel announced the sentence, along with confiscating the property and life term for another accused Bibek Lama, five-year term for Anoj Basnet and one year and ten-month long jail term for Parag Gurung and Asish Subba, respectively.

According to an officer of the Court, Beda Prasad Timalsena the bench convicted him of using a knife to commit the murder.

Manandhar, a Class XII student of Adarsha Vidya Mandir, Patan, Lalitpur was stabbed to death on August 31 after he attended a school party.
