KATHMANDU: A section of Madhes-based parties and Rastriya Prajatantra Party on Thursday joined hands with the opposition alliance led by CPN-UML against the impeachment motion registered by ruling Nepali Congress and CPN-Maoist Centre.

Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (Democratic) Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar and RPP Chair Kamal Thapa were present at the meeting organised by the opposition parties.

According to UML’s Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Subas Chandra Nembang, those present in the meeting, held at the Parliament building in Baneshwor, decided to oppose the impeachment motion.
