Mahat says 'old faces' to continue in Nepali Congress leadership even after March gala
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Central Working Committee member Prakash Sharan Mahat said the upcoming 13th national general convention of his party is most likely to elect old faces in the party leadership positions.
Mahat, however, was hopeful that some new faces would be elected in office-bearing positions.
The leader was speaking with journalists at an interaction in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.
The largest party in the Parliament is scheduled to hold its national gala on March 3-6 in the Capital.
Meanwhile, the former minister said Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's address to the nation on Sunday was more emotional than realistic.
It was a kind of juvenile behaviour on the part of the PM to present imaginary long-term plans when people had expected solutions to the present crisis from him, he commented.
He claimed that his Nepali Congress party would cooperate with the government in addressing demands of the agitating Madhes-based parties and easing the blockade.
