Man arrested for possessing weapons

KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police on Thursday arrested a man in possession of illegal weapons from Chyamasingh, Bhaktapur. A special team of CIB raided the rented room of Bhim Bahadur Khadka aka Raju, 24, of Dolakha and held him with two magazines of self-loading rifle and sub-machine gun, 21 rounds of bullets, a walkie-talkie set, two khukuris, two knives and old ID Card of Armed Police Force. He is said to have deserted the APF long ago and was currently involved in smuggling and trading arms and ammunition in the guise of a greengrocer in Bhaktapur, officials said.
