KATHMANDU: A man was beaten to death in Chyasal of Lalitpur district on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Mahesh Bhatta (45), a permanent resident of Baitadi district.

According to police, Bhatta was beaten to death by Shalik Ram Adhikari (60) of Chaule-1, Nuwakot.

Critically injured in the incident, he had breathed his last while being taken to a nearby hospital.

Bhatta was working at the Patandhoka-based Ashok Party Palace, police said.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Adhikari and are investigating further into the case.
