KATHMANDU:  Police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly murdering his father in Gagalphedi, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-1.

The suspect has been identified as Arjun Lama (28).

According to a preliminary investigation, Gunda Lama (53) was critically injured after Arjun hit him with a band (made from jute thread) over a family dispute.

Seriously injured Gunda breathed his last while receiving treatment at the Sankhu-based People Life Care Hospital.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
