KATHMANDU: A taxi driver was killed in a road accident at local Sorhakhutte in the wee hours of Wednesday.

He is 22-year-old Shyam Bahadur Pradhan of Kavre district.

Pradhan was seriously injured when a tipper (Ba 3 Kha 4579) overturned and crushed his taxi (Ba 1 Ja7883) at Sorhakhutte at 2 am today.

Police had taken him to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital where he breathed his last at 3:15 am.

Police are looking for the tipper driver who is absconding after the accident while the tipper has been impounded.
