Chairperson of CPN- Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal held talks with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader of the disgruntled faction of ruling CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal, today.

Dahal met with Nepal and discussed the current political developments including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's conditional act of extending olive branch to the dissenting faction, it has been learnt.

He then proceeded to Budhanilkantha to meet NC President Deuba where current political matters including formation of government in Sudurpashchim Province were discussed.

Dahal's political meetings come at a time when uncertainty looms over the proceedings of House of Representatives dissolution hearing in the Supreme Court.

The hearing on writs filed against House dissolution have been affected with opposition advancing from petitioners as well as defendants regarding the composition of the Constitutional Bench formed to hear the case.

The opposition-alliance comprising the NC, Maoist Centre, Nepal-faction leaders of the UML, Upendra Yadav faction of the Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal and Rastriya Janamorcha too have filed a writ at the Apex Court demanding reinstatement of the House. The alliance has further asked the court to issue orders for the appointment of Deuba as the Prime Minister.
