After the Maoist party decided to withdraw support to the Oli-led coalition government and called back all its members from the Cabinet, DPM Rayamajhi, Minister for Home Affairs Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Agni Prasad Sapkota, Minister for Commerce and Supplies Ganesh Man Pun, Minister for Agricultural Development Haribol Gajurel, Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma and Minister for Irrigation Umesh Kumar Yadav had formally put in papers today.

Earlier this morning, the Maoist Parliamentary Party had held its meeting.

The CPN Maoist Centre on Tuesday had withdrawn its support from the KP Sharma Oli-led government, charging that the Prime Minister’s party CPN-UML failed to implement the past agreements,  including gentlemen’s agreement to hand over the leadership to them, made with them in the past.

Forging a seven-point agreement, the Maoists have shaken hands with the main opposition Nepali Congress to build a new equation and form a new coalition government.
