Maoists to fight for regional autonomy, says Dev Gurung
Kathmandu, June 23:
Central committee member of CPN-Maoist, Suresh Ale Magar today said his party would fight for the ethnic and regional autonomy with the right to self determination.
“We believe right to self-determination is like giving right to divorce to a woman, which does not necessarily mean all women resort to divorce,” he said while addressing an interaction organised by Association of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Journalists (ANIJ) today.
Ale Magar claimed that almost all district administrators are either Brahmins or Chhetris and this has been the practice for centuries. “The major concern is whether to tolerate suppression or not and splitting is secondary matter,” he said.
