March organised for peace, stability

Kathmandu, September 22:

Calling for peace and stability in the country, Shreemad Bhagwat Prachar Prasar Sewa Sangh (SBPPSS) organised a massive peace march in the capital today.

People from different walks of life, including monks, sadhus and actors took out the peace march from Tilganga.

The march, organised to mark the World Peace Day, converged at Bankali Mandap after passing through Gaushala.

Professor Ananta Raj Paudel inaugurated the seventh annual gathering of the SBPPSS at the Bankali Mandap in Pashupati.

According to the organisers, around 2,500 people took part in the march.

Krishna Paudel, treasurer of the SBPPSS, said religion is a way to convey the message of peace and the peace march was organised to unite all people and spread the message of peace and non-violence.

Referring to the ongoing violence in different parts of the country, Professor Paudel said that religion was a means of bringing peace and stability in the country and not for creating chaos.

“Religion is not just about worshipping God. It is also about spreading love, promoting humanity and brotherhood,” Professor Paudel further said.
