KATHMANDU: Marijuana plants grown in maize farms in Godavari Municipality of Lalitpur district were destroyed on Thursday.

Police said the weeds in around 650 ropanis of land in Chapakharka and Triveni of Godavari-4 grown naturally were destroyed by the law enforcement personnel with locals.

Cultivation, production, sale and use of marijuana is banned in Nepal.
