KATHMANDU, MAY 19

As Covid-19 cases in Nepal continue to escalate, the Marwadi Sewa Samiti in coordination with Nepal-Bharat Maitri Hospital has started free isolation centre service at Pashupati dharamshala, based in Gaushala.

The isolation centre was inaugurated in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrel.

According to a press release issued on May 19, the isolation centre has 51 beds and provides free oxygen support, food, medical assistance and other emergency services for those who cannot afford home isolation.

The services also include management of dead bodies, ambulance, homeopathy, physiotherapy, water, blood donation campaign, health camps including other humanitarian services for those admitted at the facility.

Furthermore, free meals will be delivered to needy people in home quarantine and hospitals and other home-based services, the samiti said in the statement.

To avail these services, people are requested to dial 9801071211 and 9801767706 for any required assistance.

Minister Pokharel, who also heads the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre(CCMC), opined that the health ministry and CCMC will help Samiti in this battle to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the first wave of coronavirus, the samiti had provided various services.
