Mask-free Kathmandu within a year: Minister Pandit

KATHMANDU: Minister for Population and Environment, Lalbabu Pandit, has said he is working actively to make Kathmandu dust-free within a year, so that no one would have to use masks.

At a programme organised by Association of Community Radio Broadcasters Nepal here today, Minister Pandit said the Valley could be made a mask-free zone if he received support from all sectors.

On the occasion, Minister Pandit also released a book about Community Mediation published by the Association. The book, priced at Rs 500, has incorporated 29 articles.

He also urged the mediapersons to disseminate news, paying special attention to truth and facts.

Minister Pandit expressed that he was committed to work in favour of the nation and its people, adding he would not spare those involved in crime.
