KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 500,000 was gutted in a fire sparked from an electric short circuit at a medical store in Chabahil, KMC-7 on Thursday.

Police said computer, medicines and furniture belonging to the Charumati Medical Store were destroyed in the fire.

Meanwhile, a fire engine with the help of locals doused the fire, said police.

Police said they are looking into the case.
