Milan to remain in police custody

Kathmandu, May 6:

The Kathmandu District Court today granted permission to the Metropolitan Police Range (MPR), Kathmandu, to keep gangster Milan Gurung, alias Chakre Milan, in custody for five days and prepare a charge sheet against him.

Accusing Milan of masterminding an attempted murder of Yadav Dangol, police arrested him from Basundhara last night.

“We got permission to keep him in custody for five more days to finalise investigations into the attempted murder case,” DSP Sharad Kumar Oli at the MPR, said. “During interrogation, Dangol catagorically told us that Milan was involved in the incident when he was shot at last night,” Oli added. Milan, however, said he had nothing to do with the incident. “I was with my family when the incident occurred. The allegation against me is false,” Milan told reporters.
