Mini referendum at RR college today

Free Students Union (FSU) of Ratna Rajya Laxmi College is all set to hold a mini referendum tomorrow.

According to FSU president Balgopal Upadhyay, teachers and other employees are also invited. A 17-member committee has been formed under the governorship of Upadhyay to hold the polls. The panel includes the representatives of seven student unions besides the FSU representatives. The election would begin from 7 am and end at 1 pm.

According to Upadhyay, a 101-member team of volunteers has been formed under the leadership of FSU vice-president Jayaram Aryal to provide security to the voters. "The team is prepared to counter possible police intervention," Aryal said. The concerned student unions have completed their preparation for the referendum. The FSU expects 5,000 voters to cast their ballots. Similar referendums were organised at Koteswor Multiple Campus and Saraswoti Secondary School at Koteswor where police had tried to intervene.
