Minister finds 18 officials absent from office
KATHMANDU: Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Deepak Bohara today made a surprise visit at his office and found 18 staffs not attending the office on time. Minister Bohara was at the office at 9.30 am in the morning.
“I felt that the staffs are not attending the offices in time so did a surprise check,” said Bohara. Not only the lower levels but also the high ranking officials were among the late comers. The minister has committed that those truant officials would be punished without any bias. “Anyone who violates the rule is to be punished and I will do it,” added Bohara.
The staffs monitoring and evaluation system in the government offices is very weak and public belief on them very low, said a visitor.
“It is very good job and I hope the minister will continue it, said Sushil Bhandari, a student visitor.
