Minister for probing deal of rights violation

KATHMANDU: Defence Minister Bidhya Bhandari today said that the cases of human rights violation during the insurgency should be dealt in package rather than taking on a case at a time.

Upon receiving a memorandum from human rights activists at her office, Minister Bhandari said that she was committed to investigating the cases of human rights violation. However she maintained that commission on disappearance and truth and reconciliation commission should be formed for the purpose first.

Minister Bhandari further added that it would be injustice if we only focus on one of the perpetrators.

All perpetrators of human rights violation should be under legal action, Bhandari added. She assured Devi Sunar, mother of Maina Sunar, of justice.
