Minors’ killers in the dock
KATHMANDU: Police here claimed to have arrested the murderers of a 13-year-old girl Sushma Tamang (Majhi).
Arjun Gurung alias Arjun Lama, 16, of Lakuribot in Gorkha district, who had been living in Dallu, and Rajesh Maharjan, 22, of Dallu, Kathmandu-15, were those arrested on the charge of murdering the girl reportedly after gang rape.
According to the police, the suspects were nabbed from Chitwan and Kathmandu recently. The mother of the deceased, Maili Tamang had lodged a complaint about the disappearance of the minor.
The police had recovered the decomposed body of the girl from a bush in Malchayar of Dallu Residential Area, three days ago, read a statement issued by the Metropolitan Police Range. Murder case has been filed against the two. The police said further investigation into the case was underway.
Similarly, police arrested
Kishor KC, 18, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1, Bekh, on the charge of killing a 9-year-old boy Abhishekh Gurung. KC, accusing the boy
of stealing five rupees in his room
in Kapan, Kathmandu a week ago, had killed the boy. During investigation, the police found that the boy was beaten mercilessly and strangulated with a cloth. A murder case has been filed against Gurung.
Meanwhile, Subash Shrestha, 23, of Daraunepokhari-9, Kavre, now living in a rented house at Dallu,
was arrested for holding drugs,
six days ago. According to the
police, Shrestha was nabbed with 120 pieces of NOOPHIN and 125 pieces of DIAZE.
