MoE to award 13 best schools

The Ministry of Education has decided to award seven community schools and six institutional schools on the 36th National Education Day, which falls on September 8.
Out of 13 best schools selected from across the country, two schools would receive national award and ten schools regional award. A special award would be conferred on one school from the remote areas across the country.
According to MoE, Kathmandu-based Yuba Sahabhagita Secondary School is set to receive the national award from among community schools, while Lalitpur-based Nightangle Secondary School shall receive the same from among private schools.
The ministry has selected Okhaldhunga-based Baruneshwor Higher Secondary School from eastern region, Kathmandu-based Tarun Secondary School from central, Rupendehi-based Kanti Higher Secondary School from western, Jumla-based Bhairab Secondary School from mid-western, and Kailali-based Samaiji Higher Secondary School from far-western region from among community schools for the regional award.
Similarly, Biratnagar-based Bal Kalyan Bidhya Mandir from eastern region, Kathmandu-based The Excelsior School from central, Kaski-based Gandaki Boarding Secondary School from western, Dang-based Tulsi Boarding Secondary School from mid-western, and Kanchanpur-based International Public Higher Secondary School from far western region have been selected for the regional award from among private schools.
Jumla-based Rahadev Secondary School has been selected for the best community school award from remote areas. MoE said the national award winner schools would receive Rs 200,000 each while the regional award winners and best school from remote areas would get Rs 100,000 each.
