Mohan Baidya advocates unity of communist parties

KATHMANDU: CPN-Revolutionary Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya has argued that it is the high time all the communist parties in the country united together for safeguarding nation’s sovereignty.

At a programme organised here by Bhakta Bahadur Memorial Foundation to commemorate the fourth death anniversary of Bhakta Bahadur Shrestha, leader Baidya underscored the unity among communist parties to institutionalise the republican system and to protect the country from foreign dependence and interference.

Recalling late Shrestha as a farsighted communist leader, leader Baidya opined that a real tribute to late Shrestha would be paid when the oppression from the ‘haves’ to the ‘haves nots’ would be weeded out from the country.

Similarly, CP Gajurel, Chairperson of the Foundation, blamed India for oppressing Nepal as the India-imposed undeclared border blockade was nothing more than the manifestation of India’s policy to oppress Nepal.

Likewise, President of Rastriya Jagaran Nepal Abhiyan, Upendra Devkota, asserted that all should be united to protect to secure national interests.
