KATHMANDU: Police said they have seized a huge cache of firecrackers from a rented room in Ganeshthan of Chahabil, KMC-7 on Thursday.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala, had raided the rented room of 35-year-old Aayausha Kanu, a permanent resident of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City-7 of Morang district, and seized the banned fireworks of various brands.

Meanwhile, police said they are searching for other absconding suspects and looking into the case.
