NAC refuels abroad

KATHMANDU: The government-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation rarely refuels its large aircraft at TIA.

“As ATF price is extremely high in Nepal, we prefer refilling in foreign airports before flying back to Nepal,” Ganesh Chand, spokesperson for NAC, told THT. Moreover, the Nepal Oil Corporation might be losing business in its bid to bilk foreign airlines, as representatives of airline companies said they preferred to refuel in foreign airports or fill the tank up to its capacity before flying to Nepal.
