NFPJ to award photo journalists
Kathmandu, February 26
The National Forum of Photo Journalists today announced that it would organise an award presentation ceremony in Kathmandu on April 26 coinciding with the 20th anniversary of its establishment to recognise meritorious photo journalists.
It will confer DB Thapa Lifetime Achievement Award, 2073 on a photojournalist who has devoted their entire career to the field. The award named after the founder of Photo Concern carries a purse of Rs 50,000 with a trophy and citation.
According to NFPJ, Photo Journalist Award of the Year will also be provided to 10 persons in each category of Sports, Shreedhar Acharya Tourism and Culture, Political Photo, Daily Life, Entertainment, Business, Female Photojournalist, Provincial (mofussil), Online Photojournalism and NFPJ Active Member. All awards carry a purse of Rs 25,000 each, a trophy and citation.
