KATHMANDU: National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire has expressed pleasure over the latest decision of the government to award the honorary title of Brigadier General of Nepal Army to him.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Friday had taken decision to this effect. Nepal Army will be honouring him with the title at a special ceremony that will be organised soon.

"Nepal Army has played an important role in creating peace and stability in the nation, and I am very happy to receive the title that is going to be presented to me by the Army," Rastrakavi Ghimire was quoted as saying in Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

He also urged all to work together to protect the dignity of the nation.

Meanwhile, Sajha Publication is going to publish the poet laureate's awaited epic 'Ritambhara'. The publication chair Dolindra Prasad Sharma shared that Sajha is also going to construct a seminar hall in the name of the National Poet in Sajha Prakashan building that is going to be reconstructed in Pulchok, Lalitpur.
