Naya Shakti team leaves for India to study media strategies
KATHMANDU: A team comprising members from communication department of Baburam Bhattarai led Naya Shakti Party left for India today to study the media and communication strategies used by Indian political parties to propagate their message to the public.
The team led by Bishwadeep Pandey includes party members Sudarshan Khatiwada, Pankaj Rai, Prahalad Pokharel, Manoj Dhodari, Ganesh Khanal, Janak Pandey and Dipak Mahato. They will be in India for 10 days studying and observing Indian parties’ communication and media strategies, a press release issued by Naya Shakti Party stated.
Pandey said his team would hold meetings with leaders of Indian political parties and communication experts to know how Indian parties were carrying out their election related communication strategies effectively. “Indian parties have successfully used media and social networking sites to propagate their message to the public. We want to study their strategies so that we could also emulate some strategies here to advance our political agenda,” Pandey told THT.
