KATHMANDU, APRIL 5

The Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI) organized a felicitation and networking event in Kathmandu on Wednesday, bringing together business leaders, diplomats and government representatives to strengthen Nepal–UK economic cooperation.

The event, held at Dusit Princess Kathmandu, was attended by representatives from the British Embassy, private sector institutions and organizations including the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC).

NBCCI President Dr Roshan Rathi, in his welcome remarks, highlighted the chamber's commitment to enhancing bilateral trade, investment and business relations between Nepal and the United Kingdom.

Treasurer Bidhyabaridhi Sigdel presented an overview of Nepal–UK economic relations, outlining current trends, emerging opportunities and prospects for deeper engagement.

A key highlight of the programme was a fireside chat on "Challenges and Opportunities in Nepal's Evolving Foreign Direct Investment", featuring Ncell CEO Michael Foley, Dolma Impact Fund Founder and CEO Tim Gocher, and Unilever Nepal CEO and Managing Director Amlan Mukherjee. The session, moderated by media personality Bhusan Dahal, explored Nepal's investment climate, policy environment and future outlook.

The chamber also honoured its President Emeritus Rajendra K. Khetan for his longstanding contribution, while lifetime and general members were presented with membership certificates.

British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn, the chief guest, underscored NBCCI's role in strengthening Nepal–UK economic ties and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice President Piyush Raj Aryal, followed by a networking session.
