KATHMANDU, JANUARY 10
The Nepali Congress Central Work Execution Committee meeting is underway in connection to giving the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
The meeting is chaired by Party president Sher Bahadur Deuba at the Federal Parliament Building premises. Party office-bearers and work execution committee members are present in the meeting.
It is said the meeting will make a decision to give vote of confidence to the Prime Minister. A meeting of the NC parliamentary party will be convened after this.
A meeting of the party office-bearers held at Deuba's residence at Dhumbarahi before this also discussed the topic of lending vote of confidence to the present government led by the CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Dahal.
PM Dahal on Monday evening met with NC president Deuba at his residence and sought NC's vote of confidence. In reply, Deuba said that a decision on this matter would be taken after discussing it in the parliamentary party meeting.
Dahal who was appointed the Prime Minister on December 25 with the support of 169 lawmakers would be seeking a vote of confidence in the parliament today.
