NC fiat to electoral college members
Kathmandu, February 3
The Nepali Congress today directed members of the electoral college representing the party to compulsorily reach the venue of the National Assembly election by February 5.
The election is being held on February 5. Members of the electoral college include chiefs and deputy chiefs of local units and members of the provincial assembly.
The party also directed its electoral collage members to mandatorily keep in constant touch with the NC candidates and vote for them in the NA election, according to a statement issued by the party. The party has already formed a three-member committee to draft statute related to the formation of NC’s provincial parliamentary party.
The committee is coordinated by NC leader Minendra Rijal and includes Krishna Prasad Paudel and Keshav Rijal as members. The NC has also deputed a leader in each of the seven provinces to coordinate the process of forming provincial parliamentary party.
Minendra Rijal has been deputed for Province 1; Bimalendra Nidhi for Province 2; Dina Upadhyaya for Province 3; Govinda Bhattarai for Province 4; Bal Krishna Khand for Province 5; Hridaya Ram Thami NP Saud for Province 6 and 7 respectively.
The party will also conduct orientation programmes to educate provincial assembly members representing the NC on parliamentary practice.
