Nepali Congress top leaders discuss membership dispute

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the main opposition party Nepali Congress office bearers held here today discussed resolving the dispute regarding distribution of its active membership.

The meeting held at the residence of the Party's President Sushil Koirala in Maharajgunj concluded to assign the concerned authority in the party to address the issues in a judicious manner, according to NC leader Ramesh Lekhak.

The meeting reached an agreement in line with the NC Central Working Committee's Sunday decision to submit the list of the active members to party President Koirala within three days after carrying a thorough investigation on the dispute on distribution of active memberships.

Membership distribution in Siriha, Saptari, Parsa and Rautahat is the most disputed.

"Today's meeting mulled on various voices of grievances coming from several districts in connection to the distribution of active membership," shared the NC Central Committee member.
