KATHMANDU: Minister for Defence Bhimsen Das Pradhan has said that the country should have only two political parties - Nepali Congress and communist party- to make the country prosperous.

Speaking at a greetings exchange programme organised  in the Capital, Minister Pradhan said that instability would end in the country if the political parties having same political ideologies and programmes unite.

He also said that regional, ethnic and other fringe political parties too should unite. "The alliance of left political parties would cause no harms to the NC."

On a different context, Minister Pradhan said that he would contest the upcoming parliamentary polls from Kathmandu Constituency-6.
