NCP (NCP) invites 50,000 people to its tea reception on Oct 27
NCP (NCP) is hosting the tea reception at Bhrikutimandap grounds on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Deepawali, Nepal Sambat and Chhat festivals on Saturday for the first time after the unification of the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre).
NCP (NCP) General Secretary and Coordinator of Tea Ceremony Committee Bishnu Poudel and Standing Committee member Yogesh Bhattarai today inspected the tea party venue.
Earlier, CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) used to host tea receptions separately. The event was not organised last year due to federal and provincial elections.
Central Committee member of the party, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, said that some 50,000 people have been invited to the event. The programme will take place from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm.
Shrestha said that party's cadres and general people have been invited to the event from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm while the time between 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm has been allocated for VIP guests.
Some 300 volunteers would be mobilised to carry out and systematise the tea reception.
