The central performance meeting of the Nepali Congress will be held for the first time after the party's 14th general convention at the party's central office in Sanepa in Lalitpur at 2:00pm tomorrow.

According to party office sources, the meeting will dwell on the agendas related to sister and benevolent organisations of the party completing their tenure, 16 district working committees that are yet to carry out their conventions, and preparation for local level elections.

As part of the preparation of the performance committee meeting, the central office-bearers meeting was held at the prime minister's residence in Baluwatar, yesterday.

Earlier, an internal meeting of office-bearers, excluding President Sher Bahadur Deuba took place at the party office on Tuesday.

The performance committee meeting is expected to take necessary decisions regarding the leadership in five sister and benevolent organisations of the party, which will fall vacant after completion of tenure of their central working committee. The meeting will also take a decision on the district working committees of 16 districts which are yet to complete their conventions.

NC Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that the party would decide how to strongly present itself in the coming days on the basis of recommendation of the central performance committee regarding different issues, including local election.
